The lecturers at the FOM
The combination of theory and practice is of great importance when selecting the lecturers at the FOM: the full time professors have scientific know how and methodical-didactical competence as well as practical experience. They are supported by assistant lecturers directly from the companies. This mix of qualified scholars and experienced leaders ensures that the students learn theoretical foundations on a university level while at the same time being prepared for the requirements of corporate practice.
This concept has also convinced the Wissenschaftsrat, the German Federal Council of Science. This advisory body to the German Federal Government and the state governments ensures the quality of science and research and has accredited the university, praising its “exceptional commitment of professors in teaching and mentoring the students.” In its accreditation report on the courses on offer, the FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) also highlights the professional and educational selection of lecturers by the FOM as well as their qualification and skill.
